Henry Taylor, i’m yours, 2015. Acrylic on canvas, 73 1/8 × 74 1/4 inches (185.7 × 188.6 cm). Purchased through the generosity of the Acquisitions Circle. © Henry Taylor.
Throughout the picture "i'm yours" depth is shown between the three people in the foreground, middle ground, and background. You can see the texture of the paint and how all of the people are lined up with one another. The spacing between the people is even and the man in the front is coming at us and facing towards us leaning to us trying to tell us something. His colors between the shirts even the skin color of the people have different shades. The proportion of the picture between the people and the positive and negative space. I think it looks realistic and true to it's form from the texture of the acrylic and the way the people are looking at you. I love this picture and how it its a portrait and has depth throughout it. I feel as if i could play off of this picture and switch it up but keep the depth aspect of the painting. Not only that but i think the message behind the drawing is showing how we need change in society.
